  • made of one or more cells: wombats have the same cells as humans, such as hair, blood, and brain cells.
  • reproduce: wombats are born mammals, and the mother feeds her newborn children milk from her stomach/breasts

  • grow and develope: wombats are born furless and look similar to a newborn hamster or rat, but over the years they develope fur and look similar to a small bear, or chinchilla.

  • respond: when one wombat enters anothers ground the wombat will hiss or growl to show that the territory is his.


The four needs for every living orginism: food, water, shelter, air
  • food: wombats usually eat grasses, roots, and fungi
  • water: wombats usually get their water from water holes or where ever water is available
